Are the dives from a boat or from the shore?
All our scuba dives start from the shore. We prepare the equipment at the dive center, travel to the dive site by car and enter the water directly from the beach.
Guests who prefer a private boat experience can also rent a small boat for up to five hours. The rental price is €200, plus approximately €60 for fuel.
Where is Dive in Milos located?
Dive in Milos is located in Adamas, Milos.
All participants meet at our dive center first, where we prepare the equipment and complete the necessary briefing. We then travel together by car to the selected dive site.

How long does the activity take?
The complete two-dive program takes approximately five hours.
You can choose between:
- Morning session: 09:00–14:00
- Afternoon session: 15:00–20:00
Do I need previous diving experience?
No, you do not need any previous experience.
We offer the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, which is designed for complete beginners. After completing the introductory training and first shallow dive, you can continue with a second dive at the Sarakiniko shipwreck.
The full two-dive program takes approximately five hours:
- Morning: 09:00–14:00
- Afternoon: 15:00–20:00
What happens if there are strong northerly winds?
The Sarakiniko shipwreck and Mitakas cavern are both located on the northern side of Milos. If strong northerly winds make these sites unsuitable, we move the dives to safer locations on the southern side of the island.
The alternative dive sites are:
- Provatas: a wall dive along a rocky underwater slope
- Fourkovouni: a deeper open-water dive
The final dive sites are always selected according to the weather, sea conditions and the experience level of the divers.
Can a certified diver and a non-certified diver dive together?
Yes. We recommend a two-dive program for the non-certified diver.
During the first dive, the non-certified diver completes the basic underwater skills, becomes familiar with the scuba equipment and makes a shallow introductory dive.
For the second dive, the certified diver can join them, and they can explore the Sarakiniko shipwreck together.
In this case:
- The non-certified diver completes two dives
- The certified diver joins for one dive, at the Sarakiniko shipwreck
Is diving equipment included in the price?
Yes. The dive price includes all the necessary scuba equipment, except for the dive computer.
Photos and videos from the dive are also included at no additional cost.
I am certified, but I have not dived for a long time. Do I need a refresher?
Yes. If your last dive was more than approximately 18 months ago, we recommend starting with a refresher dive.
The refresher includes:
- A short theory review at the dive center
- Basic scuba skills in shallow water
- Time to become comfortable with the equipment again
The refresher dive costs €95.
After completing it, you can continue with a second dive at the Sarakiniko shipwreck for an additional €75.
Total cost for both dives: €170.

Once the deposit is completed, your place is reserved and your booking is confirmed.
In which languages is the briefing provided?
All dive briefings and instructions are provided in English or Greek.
How can I pay?
When you make your online reservation, you pay a deposit by card to secure your place.
The remaining balance is paid on the day of the activity, when you arrive at the dive center. You can pay either by credit or debit card or in cash.
How large are the groups?
We keep our diving groups small for safety and a more personal experience.
- Certified divers: Maximum 5 divers per instructor
- Non-certified divers: Maximum 4 divers per instructor

All dive briefings and instructions are provided in English or Greek.
What does the PADI Open Water Diver course include?
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main parts:
- Online theory through PADI eLearning
- Approximately 25–30 practical skills completed in shallow water
- Four open-water dives in deeper water
The practical training with Dive in Milos costs €550, and the PADI eLearning theory costs €150.
The total cost of the course is €700 per person.
How long does the PADI Open Water Diver course take?
The course can usually be completed in two to three days, depending on the participant’s progress, availability and the weather conditions.
